Lauren has reported on and worked within the global technology sector. She has worked with CEOs at pre-seed to profitable SaaS startups on media strategy and owns editorial from ideation through publication. For the past 4 years, Lauren worked as an associate principal analyst at Gartner Digital Markets producing research on small business tech adoption for Capterra and GetApp. Lauren also served as an adviser for Women Startup Challenge Europe - the continent's largest venture capital competition for women-led startups. Lauren is a published author. Her latest work (releasing Fall 2020) is on Diversity & Inclusion in Open Source Communities. Lauren has also covered tech trends including self-drive cars, digital skills gaps in Taiwan and Brazil, data ownership after death, and the role of apps in aid relief for The Guardian and The Next Web. In 2012, Lauren earned government commission from the island of Taiwan to report on the island’s media market — the largest, freest market on the Asian continent. Lauren earned her BA in Media Studies from The Catholic University of America, where she was a CUA Oxford Honors Scholar at St. Catherine’s College, Oxford.
